Part of the River Rocks collection, this textile wall hanging is part of a collection inviting us to ponder the possibilities of life. The design is inspired by the smooth rocks and stones that have been caressed by the wind and waves over centuries, traveled hundreds or thousands of miles, transformed by the gentle persistence of nature.
This unique piece of wall art is made from leftover naturally dyed scraps of cotton fabric, supporting my commitment to a zero waste art practice. The stones are hand cut, intuitively arranged, and sewn to the background with multiple rounds of stitching for a raw edge appliqué finish.
Two 16” x 20” panels
Finished quilt is stretched on a wooden frame. Hanging wires included for easy display.
Includes walnut floating frames.
